carpet cleaning

Carpets add elegance and warmth to any room. However, they also play host to an inordinate amount of dust and dirt. If you want to keep your carpets looking their best, you should clean them periodically. There are different techniques we use to clean carpets.  You could of course hire professional help for carpet cleaning. Melbourne fortunately suffers from no lack of carpet cleaning professionals and we are here to help. We use a combination of techniques and different carpet cleaning material to get the best results

Carpet Cleaning Techniques

There are different types of techniques that we use.

  • Carpet Steam Cleaning – This method involves application of hot water (high pressured) to shake the fibre and then dissolve the dirt. The technician would apply a cleaning agent to the carpet, use a brush to shake the fibres and then rinse off the dirt using equipment.
  • Dry Carpet Cleaning – This is a relatively new technique. During the process, the technician would apply the cleaning compound to the bottom of the carpet using a brush machine that rotates. These compounds are bio degradable and absorb dirt. The technician would remove the cleaning compound from your carpet at the end of the process.
  • Encapsulation – This method more or less replaced carpet shampooing. Carpet cleaning technicians use synthetic detergents that become powder once they dry up after absorbing the dirt particles from the fibre. Once the detergent turns into powder, technicians vacuum the carpets to finish the job.

The above techniques are only some of the popular methods used by our Melbourne Carpet Cleaners. Remember Wizard Carpet, Tile and Grout Cleaning would use the technique that best suits your carpets to ensure best results. You could vacuum your carpets regularly to make sure that they remain relatively dirt free, but it is advisable to hire a professional to deep clean your carpets at least once a year to make them last longer and help remove mites and other critters that regular hoovering and cleaning won’t remove.
